Mr. K Chidambaram established the Chidambaram Group's first firm, Chidambaram Shipcare Private Limited in 1979. Since then, the Group has grown significantly, with businesses built across ship building, ship repair, heavy engineering equipment service, lifting equipment manufacturing, real estate, technical consulting services as well as interests in education and agriculture. Furthermore, the Group continually seeks new ways to expand its business into areas complementary to its current interests.
The Chidambaram Group of Companies, headquartered in Chennai, India, and with its corporate office in Mumbai, India also has a strong presence in Ranipet, Dubai and Singapore through its business entities focused in manufacturing, sales, service and investments.
